Data controller

Little Roar is the controller of personal data covered by this policy.

Personal data we collect

  • Identity and contact data, such as name, email address, telephone number, billing address, and shipping address.
  • Order and transaction data, such as products ordered, amount paid, currency, discounts, returns, refunds, and delivery status.
  • Payment-related data. Payments are processed by payment providers; Little Roar does not normally receive complete payment-card details.
  • Account and communication data, including account credentials, support messages, reviews, survey responses, and preferences.
  • Technical and usage data, such as IP address, browser, device, cookie identifiers, pages viewed, referring source, and interaction data.
  • Marketing data, including subscription status and campaign engagement.

How we collect data

We collect data directly from you, automatically through the website and cookies, and from service providers such as Shopify, payment processors, analytics providers, advertising partners, fulfillment providers, and carriers.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Process orders, payments, deliveries, returns, refunds, and customer support: performance of a contract or steps requested before a contract.
  • Prevent fraud, secure the store, maintain records, improve products and services, and defend legal claims: our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.
  • Comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, product-safety, and other legal obligations.
  • Send marketing where you consented or where otherwise permitted by law. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Use non-essential cookies or similar technologies where consent is required.

Service providers and disclosures

We may share data with Shopify, payment providers, fraud-prevention providers, fulfillment partners, suppliers, warehouses, carriers, customer-support tools, email and marketing providers, analytics providers, professional advisers, insurers, public authorities, and parties involved in a business transfer. We share only what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose and require appropriate safeguards where applicable.

Shopify

Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes personal data to provide the commerce platform, checkout, security, analytics, and related services. Shopify may also act as an independent controller for certain processing described in its own privacy documentation.

International transfers

Some recipients may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism, together with supplementary measures where appropriate.

Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described, including fulfilling orders, providing support, meeting accounting and tax obligations, preventing fraud, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and legal requirement.

Cookies

We use necessary cookies to operate the store and may use analytics, personalization, and advertising cookies. Where required, non-essential cookies are used only after consent. You can manage choices through the cookie banner or browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the store from working.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your data; receive portable data; withdraw consent; and object to direct marketing. You may also have rights relating to automated decisions. To exercise a right, email lamartibusiness@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity.

Complaints

You may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority or another competent supervisory authority, especially in the country where you live or work or where the alleged infringement occurred. We encourage you to contact us first so we can address the concern.

Children

The store is intended for adults making purchases. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children where parental consent is required. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided data should contact us.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal obligations. The updated date appears at the top.
